The interview

I have interviewed some people as I though it is going to be a good way to gather some information, get some references and opinions. Basically, it was meant to start me going. I have to admit interviewing people were quite helpful. However, the interview wasn't as successful as I planned. The problem were the questions. I should have spend more time thinking about them. The most important question I forgot to include is where would people like to see more nature. I missed the chance to gather the most important piece of information. I might make another questioner or interview (which has better and clearer questions) to help me.

The questions I chose were:

Would you like to see more nature in your everyday life? Why?
If yes, in what form would you like to see it? (example: plats, water, etc.)
Do you an artis, designer or pieces of work that relates to nature ?

For now, I will sum up the answers.

Interview outcomes

I interview 11 so far.

3 people answered that they see enough nature around them.
8 people answered that they would like to see more nature.

So the majority of people would like to see more nature around them.

Reasons why they would like to see more nature were:

  • It's pretty
  • It's inspiring
  • It's calming
  • It makes you peaceful
  • People miss it because they grew in a suburban area with a lot of gardens
  • It would be a good chance to learn more about nature
  • It's cheerful
  • Places around were someone lives is very grey and dull.
Why they would not like to see more nature around them:
  • they like to retreat to nature
  • they see enough rivers and trees in London
In what form people would like to see nature around them:
  • big open landscapes (hills, mountains, forest, rivers)
  • more spacious building with more plants and water inside them
  • flowers, grass, trees, animals
  • plants from all around the world (japanese blossom tree, rainforest plants)
  • more open geen spaces
  • animals/biodiversity
  • forest in the city
  • water
